Can I work remotely from the hostel?
We don’t have an official co-working space just yet but our kitchen table has seen more laptops than dinners lately. Guests love working from different corners of the hostel, whether it’s outside in the sun or inside with a coffee. And don’t worry, a proper remote-work setup is on the way!
Do you provide towels/linens?
Yes, all included.
Can I cook?
Absolutely! We have a fully equipped shared kitchen available for all guests. It’s stocked with cooking essentials, utensils, pots and pans, and even a variety of spices to get you started. Whether you’re prepping a full meal or just making a snack, you’ll find everything you need to feel right at home.

What’s nearby?
The beach is just a 5-minute walk away, with some of the best spots in Cyprus close by – Nissi Beach is the closest, followed by Landa and our personal favourite, Makronissos Beach. Cafés, shops, and supermarkets are all within walking distance. For nightlife, we’re not right in the noisy center, but there are a few bars just down the road. Most nights start at our hostel bar, and then everyone heads out together to enjoy Ayia Napa.
Is there parking?
Yes – free parking just outside the property.
Can I work out while I’m there?
Totally! We have an outdoor gym area with basic equipment – perfect for your daily workout or stretch routine. We even provide yoga mats so you can keep up your flow while on the road.
Do you have a pool?
We sure do! We’ve got an outdoor above-ground pool with sun loungers – perfect for cooling off and catching a tan. You’ll need to climb up using the ladder, but it definitely does the job!
🏖️ Planning your trip to Ayia Napa? Here's what you need to know before you go:
🛂 Visa & Passport
Most travelers from the EU, UK, US, Canada, and Australia don’t need a visa to enter Cyprus. However, your passport must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of entry. Always double-check based on your nationality.
✈️ What should I know before flying to Cyprus?
Before you fly, it’s important to know that Cyprus is divided, and the northern part (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus/Ercan Airport) is not internationally recognized.
If you arrive via Ercan Airport or a ferry port in Northern Cyprus, keep in mind the Republic of Cyprus (southern side) does not consider this a legal entry, and entering the south afterward may lead to fines or denial of entry
You can cross between the north and the south, but only at designated UN buffer‑zone checkpoints (e.g. Ledra Street, Metehan), and you must show your passport or EU ID
To avoid any issues, it’s safest to arrive in Cyprus through Larnaca or Paphos airports, which are fully recognized by the Republic of Cyprus
💉 Health & Travel Insurance
No vaccines are required to enter Cyprus. That said, we highly recommend travel insurance that covers health, cancellations, and belongings—just in case.
🌤️ Weather
Cyprus enjoys a classic Mediterranean climate, making it a great destination all year round.
Summer (June–September) brings long, hot, and sunny days with temperatures often rising above 30°C — perfect for beach time and soaking up the sun.
Spring and Fall (March–May & October–November) are warm, breezy, and super pleasant — ideal for exploring, swimming, and enjoying the outdoors without the intense summer heat.
Winter (December–February) is mild, with daytime temperatures around 15–18°C and some occasional rain. Still very comfortable compared to most of Europe!
Whether you’re here to tan, hike, or just chill — the weather’s got your back.
💶 Currency
Cyprus uses the Euro (€). Most places — restaurants, shops, and supermarkets — happily accept credit and debit cards.
That said, it’s always a good idea to carry some cash, especially for small local shops, beach kiosks, or places that have a card minimum.
Public transport usually accepts cash only, unless you’re using a prepaid travel card. So keep a few coins handy for buses or local rides.
🗣️ Language
The official languages of Cyprus are Greek and Turkish, but English is widely spoken — especially in Ayia Napa and, of course, here at House of Nissus.
🎉 Public Holidays
During local holidays, some services like supermarkets or banks may have limited hours. Key dates include Easter, August 15th (Assumption Day), and October 1st (Independence Day).
Don’t worry though — most restaurants, bars, and tourist spots stay open, especially in Ayia Napa
🕐 Time Zone
Cyprus is in the Eastern European Time Zone (GMT+2 / GMT+3 in summer).
We’re here to make you feel at home
before you even arrive. 💛
